Donations & Volunteering
Call for Volunteers
There are a handful standing committees that need volunteers to help support our community and ultimately make Virginia Village an even better place to live. As a reminder, volunteers on the committees must reside within the boundaries of Virginia Village. You can sign up by completing this form.
The Standing Committees that currently exist, per our bylaws are:
Membership: Volunteers will help with recruiting residents in our neighborhood to the organization and maintaining a database of active VVECA members.
Communications: Volunteers will create newsletters, emails, and other methods of communication on matters related to our neighborhood for distribution to VVECA members.
Zoning and Development: Volunteers will review zoning and development proposals affecting our neighborhood and provide comments to officials on behalf of VVECA members.
Community Safety: Volunteers will act as liaisons with public safety officials, review concerns from VVECA members, and keep our neighborhood updated on matters related to public safety
Events: Volunteers will plan events (in-person and/or virtual) for VVECA members and brainstorm innovative ways to fundraise for VVECA operations.
Along with two of our current Special Committees:
Potenza Park: Volunteers will represent our neighborhood during ongoing discussions with City officials about improvements to Potenza Park.
Bylaws: Volunteers will review our current bylaws and propose recommended changes as needed to the VVECA Board of Directors.
Those that have interest in volunteering on these special committees, as either a member or chair of the committee, please utilize the google form below:
